Waves and Tides

During Beach School this week, the children of Year 2 focused their learning around the sea. They learnt about how waves are formed and how wave movement is a separate entity to the ocean tides. The children explored the rise and fall of the tide and tracked the tides movement by studying the sand for the changing water mark.

The children discovered some very tricky concepts like gravity and the role of the moon in the world's tides. A fantastic day, well done Year 2.

We’d love to hear from you!
